Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-12
DRAFT — not yet legally reviewed. This document is a working draft that must be reviewed by legal counsel before launch. Items marked [VERIFIERA: …] are not yet confirmed and items marked [PLATSHÅLLARE: …] are placeholders to be filled in with the registered company details.

These terms govern your use of BYKI Notetaker, provided by Byki [PLATSHÅLLARE: full legal company name, company registration number, registered address, VAT number — Byki is currently being incorporated]. By creating an account, you accept these terms.

1. The service

Notetaker watches your calendar (up to 7 days ahead) or accepts a pasted meeting link, sends a bot that knocks on your online meetings (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and waits until the host admits it, records the meeting (audio, and video on plans that include it), transcribes it, and uses a language model to generate meeting notes that are delivered in the app and by email — and, where you enable it, to Slack, Microsoft Teams, a webhook, Notion, Google Docs or as a Word document. You can decline the bot for individual meetings, and add your own notes, which are taken into account in the generated minutes. When several users of the service attend the same meeting, a single bot attends and each user receives their own private notes. The bot never joins silently — admission by the host is always required — and it posts a consent message in the meeting chat when it joins.

2. Your responsibilities

3. Account and access

Sign-in is via Google or Microsoft. You grant the service read-only access to your calendar (time, title and meeting link only) for meeting detection. You can disconnect your calendar or delete your account at any time.

4. Subscription and payment

The service is offered on a subscription basis. New accounts start on a 14-day free trial with the Starter plan's features — no card required. Payment is handled by Stripe. VAT is added according to the applicable rules (reverse charge within the EU for businesses with a valid VAT number). You can cancel your subscription at any time; it then runs until the end of the current billing period.

5. AI-generated content

Meeting notes are generated automatically by language models and may contain errors. You should review the notes before relying on them as a basis for decisions. Byki is not responsible for decisions made solely on AI-generated content.

6. Availability and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Byki's liability is limited to what follows from mandatory law and, to the extent permitted, to the fees paid for the last three months [VERIFIERA: liability cap wording].

7. Termination

You can terminate the agreement by deleting your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. Inactive or unpaid accounts may be deleted after 91 days, following reminder emails.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes. Questions: support@byki.app [VERIFIERA: contact address].
